Best Practices for Winter Delivery

It’s dark. It’s cold. The fridge is empty. We get it; you want delivery. But there are a few things you should be sure are taken care of before placing an order for the goods. Our drivers are out in the snow and cold so you don’t have to be, so to make the delivery process easier for everyone involved we ask that you take some steps to make sure your food can get to you safe and sound.

First, it’s that time of year where the sun goes down, unfortunately, earlier than the rest of the year. That being said, if your house number isn’t visible from the street, make sure that you give some additional details and have your phone ready for when the driver arrives. We don’t want your food sitting in a car longer than it needs to because a driver was stuck having to drive around!

Secondly, you want to make sure that there’s a clear pathway to the door of choice. This, of course, meaning that any snow is shoveled and out of the way and that any ice is dealt with. This includes icicles! Fewer slips and obstacles mean the food has a higher chance of getting to you undisturbed which gets you happy, warm, and full! Is there really any better feeling than that!?

Lastly, just as you need to clear space around your mailbox for your mail person, you should have a spot that drivers can easily pull up and park in. We know this isn’t always possible, but we ask you at least consider it!
