Next up in our spotlight series is one of Portland’s hidden gems, Luis’s Arepera & Grill. This family-run restaurant specializes in authentic Venezuelan cuisine; specifically arepas! We’ve even been told they have the best churros in Maine.

Get your hands on a delicious arepa that has the perfect combination of crunch on the outside and a soft warm taste on the inside. You can order them with fillings such as ground beef, chicken, tuna, or if you don’t eat meat they have a couple of vegetarian options as well.
